About my work
My research interests lie in technology’s influence in the workplace and how it changes the way we work. I apply theory from behavioral science and both qualitative and quantitative research methods to understand how new technologies affect existing work practices and create new ones. Most of my research is conducted in field settings, and has an applied focus. My dissertation work examined the effect of remote presence technology (robots) on team process and team performance in Urban Search and Rescue technical search teams. I am also interested in human-robot interaction, web-based training, and e-leadership.
